~one of my favorite story books as a 
child was about a hen that carried
sewing basket and saved her
family from the wolf...
this is my version of that
bird~

~she is wearing an apron and 
has her sewing basket around
her neck...she is attached to the
wood base so she can seem to
be running to help her family...
she is 7" tall and part of a 
Sweet Meadows Farm pattern~

especially a liberty angel...
she is primmed to
perfection and ready to hang

~her americana body, star, wings,
stick legs and crown all

with some adaptations by
me to make her a 
liberty angel~

~prim blue birds and robins~

~I love birds...these two are
really cute and you'll
think they are ready to fly
away...they are roughly 7" tall
depending on how they are
standing...they are a cruddy
cotton print with wire legs...
the legs are attached to 
an old piece of wood lathe
the original pattern was from
"The Artful Bird" with changes
by me...just because I don't
like to follow directions~
